Peace & Progress, founded by Corin and Vanessa Redgrave, have brought together families from a number of British and European Guantanamo Bay detainees, their lawyers and a number of other leading human rights lawyers and organisations to form the Guantanamo Human Rights Commission.
The remit of this Commission and its immediate plans, including a visit to the US, will be announced at the following press conference.

A number of relatives of detainees, their lawyers and supporters will be present from the UK and France including: Azmat Begg, father of Moazzam Begg; Riasoth Ahmed, the father of Rhuhel Ahmed; Zumrati Juma, mother of Ferroz Abbassi. Mr Hassine Ounsi, Chairman of the committee in support of French detainees will be coming from Lyon with some family members of French detainees and their lawyers.
