Aviation day rally - no third runway!

Despite appearances, this is not a Lib Dem beach party in the era of climate change! Seriously though, it's Susan Kramer MP, Richmond Council leader Serge Lourie, Baroness Jenny Tonge and Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP protesting against a proposed third runway at Heathrow, at an Aviation Day rally in Harmondsworth on Saturday 10th June 2006.
Said Sarah: "LibDems in London are backed in our opposition to the unacceptable noise and air pollution of Heathrow over-expansion (or Gatwick or Stansted) by the progressive aviation policy of the party nationally. We reject the government's unsustainable 'predict and provide' policy in favour of a pollution charge on each plane to encourage full flights, investment in high-speed rail and ending the subsidy to landing charges."
