Sarah and students at the People and Politics Day
Sarah took part in Unlock Democracy's People and Politics Day where which she joined over 1,700 young people to discuss the role of the media in reporting the EU, politics and young people themselves. On the latter, Sarah emphasised her condemnation of the way teenagers were being demonised and the use of 'mosquito alarms' to disperse them when more effective policing should be employed.
Sarah said:
"It was very stimulating to meet and talk to so many lively young people who are genuinely interested in politics and the wider world. No apathy here! Enthusiasm, energy and intelligence were all on display, and I have optimism and confidence that these youngsters will make this world a better place."
