Transatlantic plane plot conviction shows justice is best anti-terrorism weapon

Commenting on the news that Adam Khatib from Walthamstow has been convicted of conspiring to murder civilians in the transatlantic airline plot, Liberal Democrat European justice & human rights spokeswoman and London MEP Sarah Ludford said:
"Adam Khatib's conviction is more evidence that the traditional, transparent criminal justice system is the best way of bringing terrorists to justice."
"Not only does illegal rendition and torture not work, if anything it undermines the anti-terror cause by adding to the muslim world's grievances and making any evidence gathered inadmissible in court."
